MISCELLANEOUS TECHNICAL NOTES |
Only two SCSI connectors (J1&J2, J2&J3 or J3&J1) can be used simultaneously. All three SCSI connectors cannot be used at one time. Termination must be manually configured under two conditions. The ExpressPCI-PSC will not automatically configure termination when narrow (8-bit) devices are attached to the internal connector and wide (16-bit) devices are attached to the external connector, or vice-versa. In these cases, the on-board terminators must be set to terminate high-order byte (the ExpressPCI-PSC must lies at the end of the high-order bus). Refer to the ExpressPro-Tools Bus Configuration Utilities section in the ExpressPro-Tools User’s Manual for appropriate settings. Active termination is strongly recommended. |
